Momo is the protagonist of Michael Ende's novel, Momo. She lives on the outskirts of town, in the ruins of an ancient amphitheater, all by herself. She is often visited by townsfolk who come to her for advice about their problems. They rely on Momo because she listens with an open heart and inspirits others with her infectious kindness. It's this hero - pure of heart - that must save the day when the Time Thieves come to town. The townsfolk sign dirty contracts with the Time Thieves, cheating them of their free time, leaving the world too busy to make time for others.
